Obama and Benito Mussolini

Is Obama, Mussolini?

Strong arming $20 Billion from private enterprise. Clearly un-Constitutional. Judge, jury, and executioner in one shot. He fires the GM CEO. With the help of a leftist judge, Obama ignores contract law and strong arms bondholders. Obamacare. Porkulus.

We've got one shot at saving our Republic on November 2, 2010. Otherwise the greatness America as founded, will die.

Worst President in history. First American Dictator.

  1. I wonder how somebody whose ancestors were ethnically cleansed under Mussolini's reign would feel about this post? Or what about anybody who has lived under an actual dictator? Somebody who couldn't just write "Obama sucks" on an internet blog because, if he did, the police would come and execute him without a trial?

Of course, you have the right to call the President whatever you want... but that's exactly my point. That freedom you exercise so carelessly wouldn't exist under a true dictator. To be so arrogant, and so ignorant, and so nonchalant about something that has caused genocide and suffering on a massive level blows my mind.

It's easy to try and construct an argument by using words like "dictator" because they're what some people call "charged words:" words that come equipped with an emotional, rhetorical weight that will make people feel something for your argument, whether or not it is warranted. To call Obama a "dictator" may get a few people to go "Oh my God! He's like Mussolini! He ethnically cleanses the population and employs secret police to hunt and destroy dissenters! He must be stopped!", but none of it is true. This is what is called a "rhetorical argument," and it has no actual value.

You're free to think he's the worst President in history (I however, think that just demonstrates how ignorant you are about US history), but I feel that calling the chief elected, term-limited executive of the freest and most prosperous country in the world a "dictator" is a blatant "fuck you" to everybody who has the misfortune of living under a real dictator, and doesn't have the rights and privileges you enjoy. This is despicable, and it makes me feel as though you deserve an even smaller amount of internet traffic than the already minuscule amount of people who humor your radicalize, rhetorical ravings.
